I am new to the forum and have searched high and low for this token for about a month now and still have no idea what it is.  Any help would be appreciated.

South Carolina?  Senatus Consultus (By Permission of the Senate)?  For some reason it "feels" American.

If lead (white metal) it is probably an Communion token.  There is an "SC" with a "1776" reverse listed for Scotland.  Is this lead, and what is on the other side?
