The wonderful RAINBOW TONING of US coins

Hi all 
 I have collected coins for many years in the UK and only on a rare occasion seen a coin with superb multy colour tonning and wonder if there is a difference in the metals that allow many 1'000 of US coins to have this wonderful rainbow toning?

I have searched today, in fact I do not find one coin that can match the US colours. 

Can u ceate such wonderfull colours artificially? if so how?
