Ten Dollars of Gold!

   Hi All and Happy New Year!

I started my serious collecting of coins about 4 times around the Sun ago. The problem was that I had no idea what I was doing!  Of course I was very vulnerable to any and all! I had to start the ball rolling in some manner> via Questions?
My local Coin Dealer, fortunately he is a pretty good guy. My first mistake was....I bought my first coins from a TV Ad! WOW, need I say more? NO! Then, I went to the dealer. Making it short, I have to leave out a lot. Paul was his name. While looking over his inventory I was star struck over all of the Gold & Silver Beauties!
After a few visits, Paul had enough experience to know what I might like. He brought out a $10. Gold 1899 Lib. Yeah it was Beautiful all right, for $5000. it damn well should be! Now, here's the good part, although I didn't know it at the time. It was in an NGC Holder with an MS-66 grade on it!, which meant really nothing to me at the time! 

He told me the story on it. "It's a common date" he said...but, there are only 14 known!" That kinda excited me....So, I bought it, with good ole hard Cash! Ya know what? I still have that Beauty Today! 01-06-07.

Today, 4 years later, I do all of my buying and selling in online Auctions, it's my retirement enjoyment and I love it! Now, recently one of these so say 14 knowns was won in one of Heritage's Auctions for a little over, get this.....$12,000. 

I have another fairly interesting story. Three years ago, in one of Heritage's Auctions, I won one of the Prettists Gems in my collection. It, is an 1889 Silver Half Dollar, Seated Lib. / NGC-Proof MS66. It is emaculate! It has a true mirror field and a toning of Sea Green to die for!

It is in tomorrow's (Sunday) Teletrade Auction. Though I will miss her, I know it is going to bring me a Profit!? If so, then I can be buying on the House's money, so to speak. If you check it out, send me feedbacks and I will definately reply to you!

	Silverhawk.... You might want to check in on Teletrade's Auction today! I closes at 7pm Ca. time. Half Dollar*Lot:1567 / 1889 NGC-Proof 66 It's a Beauty to say the least! This is the one at the closing of my story!
