Hello,
My name is Jake, I am new to the forum,and I love how well organized the site and information is on coins. anyways I have this coin I need you guys to tell me what the heck it is, The Picture below is one side, the other has a head with a fig crown, The year it says on it is 1837,the only words i can read on the front state:Tribus UNUM thats what it some what reads, ![]() Thanks guys, I hope someone experienced can tell me what i have. |

Hello there Jake , what you have there is commenly known as a hard times token.It is similar to an old US large cent as you can see.
There is a value to them and they are very collectable.Id recommend using a google search or an ebay search for hard times tokens and using the markings on the front fine tune your search.Some being rarer than others.
