The Clifton Rodenburg Collection
Mr. Rodenburg did not limit himself to eagles, however. His remaining selections cover the range of numismatic offerings and include quite a number of desirable Carson City coins. We invite you to take a look at some of the highlights of his collection, which include:
This outstanding collection, along with the rest of the October Dallas Signature Auction, will open for bidding soon at www.HeritageAuctions.com/Coins. |

See, there is the 1863 $5 half eagle I just bought!! Except mine is cleaned and rims filed. Its kinda pretty with excellent detail. But the point is the rarity......very few pieces exist in any grade. I could never afford a high end piece, but I do have an authentic coin with true rarity. see my photo and discussion string in main forum.
I actually used that sale in Heritage as a bit of a gauge how high I would bid for the cleaned offering I now have!
