Listed as one of my favorite coins, I love the flowing hair design and this is a nice example.
Thanks for sharing. |

I've recently become interested in this series... Way cool stuff ... I am more and more interested in the earliest date coins, mainly because of the history and age they have. I've been reading Q David Bowers new book on coin investing and collecting. Very informative!

Nice coins! The top coin pictured resides in my lockbox. This coin was a NICE acquisition. Most slabbed half cents are not attributed as to Cohen variety. The 1793 in these pics is a Cohen-2 variety. The unofficial EAC-style Condition Census includes coins graded EF based on EAC grading standards. This coin was in a PCGS XF40 slab when I purchased it. It grades as VF35 on an EAC basis and would most likely be in the top dozen or so of C-2s. I crack all of my half cents out of their slabs when I purchase them (unless I expect to sell it within 3 months or so). This one provided a VERY GREAT
surprise when I cracked it out. It had blundered edge lettering which makes it unique or nearly unique as to 1793 C-2s. This provides a nice little premium to collectors from the copper world.

Hard to believe on the 1856 it is lady liberty. Looks like a character from robin hoods cartoon....
