It appears to be struck with a quarter. I know people fake these things but I found it in my grandfather's collection which has been in storage since the 1970's any information that you have will be helpful. I have examined it under a microscope and it aligned nearly perfectly on both sides with a quarter due.

Probably after it was minted - however you could try Fred Weinberg Error coin dealer.  - admin

Thanks... I will look into it. I plan to go to a few coin shops this week, according to whatever the general census is, I will send it to PCGS just to be sure. If it comes back as mint error it will be well worth it. Thanks again.
