Although i am an experienced coin collector, I am fairly new to the currency filed. I have read here & there about notes being pressed or ironed & how it used to be common among dealers & collectors. I realize it is not looked on favorably now but I wonder what the status of these are with grading co's. such as PMG, etc?? Do they grade them & make a notation, or do they reject them? Also, I assume they are still collectible as long as it is disclosed? Thanks. |

Pressed notes are highly detectible. A stereo binocular microscope can detect it in the fibers and an experienced currency collector can do it by feel and observation of how the note lay on an outstretched finger.
