So I think this is a nice design but I really don't see what all the hype is about that brings in so much money for a commemorative. I would rather spend that kind of money on a classic coin meant for circulation.

They are jsut so unusual, and quite rare. They also look very nice in person. In addition, there is some interesting history with how the coin came to be and came to be rare....
