I'm thinking of starting coin album of world coins from the year I was born. Has anyone tried this before?

Yup. Lots of folks.
A common method uses a 1/2" three-ring notebook with up to 10 20-pocket vinyl pages holding cardboard 2x2s, in alphabetical order by country name. You can add a nice touch by printing descriptions on white paper sheets behind each page. In my One From Every Country albums using that method I leave a row of empty pockets at the end of each letter of the alphabet, to provide room for expansion without having to move every coin. |
