Hey, does anyone know if this is worth anything? I found it today, and I don't know much about it. It would be cool if I could get some help. I thought they come out late in 1916? I'm quite unsure. I don't think it is worth anything. Sorry its the best picture I could get with my dumb camera.

	If it has a D for a mintmark it will be worth money. If not it is just a dime. A 1916D is the key date for Mercury dimes with a low mintage and highly sought after by collectors. Also, do not make any attempt to clean this coin. If you want to clean it just run clear water over it and dab it with a clean towel. Do not rub it ay all. Cleaning a coin reduces the value considerably. Look on the reverse at the bottom left to find the mintmark. Edited by rogo - 12 Jun 2008 at 9:19pm

	Oh, I looked and it does not have the mark. oh well. I do have some with the D mark. 1941-D, 1941-S, 1942-D, 1942-S, 1943-D, 1944-D, 1945-D, and 1945-S "S" for San Fransisco Right?

	Yes "S" is for San Fransisco. "D" is Denver, and "P" is for Philadelphia. Sometimes Philadelphia didn't put a mint mark on at all, which some people refer to as "plain." "Plain = Philadelphia." Those are the three most common mint marks you'll run into, but New Orleans (marked with an "O") and Carson City, Nevada (a "CC" mint mark) also made coins briefly.
