Is is button or....Seated Liberty

   Has anyone ever seen one of these?  It's a Seated Liberty Half Dollar from the New Orleans mint.  It was found as is in the dirt on a ranch in Mexico.  Is it a great coat button? A cuff link? or Tie pin???  Any info would greatly appreciated.
