Went to an ICCA event in Indiana last weekend.  They offered me $3 each on 250 various Morgan and Peace dollars and $50 for a one ounce Credit Suisse gold bar.  This is an absolute joke.  It took everything in my power to keep from flipping over their table and punching the fat con artist in the face.  Needless to say, I did not do that.  International Coin Hunter is also known as Treasure Hunters Roadshow so buyer beware.  Thanks.

The ICCA have their advertisement in a South Dakota paper today. After remembering old coins I have and matching several to their list of wanted (Morgan, Walking Liberty,Standing Liberty, etc dating from 1879-1920, I was excited. Im very glad I saw warnings as to their credibility and professionalism, and will not be attending the event. My question now is,..who or where do you go to find out the value of old coins??

International Coin Collectors Association, Treasure Hunters Roadshow, Ohio Valley Gold & Silver refinery, are all part of the THR & Associates group.
They have bounced checks across the US, and ripped off thousands of people, going form hotel to hotel promising to be experts on Antiques.
NBC has uncovered their scams, they pay lower than ANY one else for coins, scrap Gold & Silver.

They offer $6 on Silver dollars when melt is $27.12. They offer 5 x face on 90%.
On Gold they offer $3.50 per DWT it should be around $43 per DWT, the buyers are paid on profit.
They pay no local tax, business tax. If you are stupid enough to sell your coins or Gold without doing your homework, at least go to a local store and shop around.

Remember the THR & Ass train the buyers to be professional, smile, shake hands and welcoming. Like a ‘Praying Mantis’ don’t get taken in.

If you want to go to a hotel, sleep there, if you want to sell coins, go to a coin dealer, Pawnbroker or Jeweler and preferably someone who is accredited by the BBB.
