I found a nice 1989 lincoln penny with a cud on the reverse. The cud is overtop the corner of the memorial building on the right side extending over the f.g. initials as well. I have been trying to find similar examples. I have not been able to do so thus i was wondering if anyone out there has seen one similar. It is also noticable to see the die crack that extends from the coins rim running into the cud. ill post decent picture. It was a good day of penny hunting. also pulled out a 1996 with a filled in "9" cud.

Not a CUD but a decent die break/chip. Probably from a progression from a very small chip to the size you have found. Very nice find especially the way it is beginning to take away the designers initials.

Most die breaks arent really worth much...but this, tho not to big, is cool and unique.....only worth what somebody pays for it :)
