   Well, I got a pretty decent metal detector for my birthday from my girlfriend. I dug all sorts of holes in my back and side yard...found lots of random pieces of metal from the previous owner's, random pieces of fence, and a 1940 nickel that has seen better days. 

I am going to have to play around with the settings, but so far, even though it was all junk, I found it! Atleast I know it works!

I live on in a town that is essentially a penninsula, so I look forward to my next days off to go test it out down there. We have a very very busy beach, and had an old amusement park, so I look forward to testing it out around town! 

I hope this post bumps up this forum as not many people seem to post in it and it has been nearly 4 months since last posting. Thanks for reading.
