I got a confederate banknote from 1864. Does any one have any idea of the size of these. The one I have is in mint condition and I believe to be fake. It is about two inches top to bottom and about 3 to 3 1?2 inches in length. I cant find any info online through google. yet I thought some one here might shorten my journey. Help if ya can. I am back in google looking for info. thank you for your time.

Forget Google, go to eBay. I found 191 1864 Confederate banknotes for sale. A denomination on the one you have would help narrow down the field.

Signed by the president Tylers son. I see them on e-bay what I need is a site to atleast get an idea of its size. If it is real. Every site I see on google has are replica's. So Far. I would love to find a dealer that carries confederate. And has a fair knowledge of them.

I am fairly certain that Confederate notes are large-size notes, so I'd roughly guestimate proper dimensions at 3X7 inches.
However, there is also fractional currency that is smaller. Like Becky said, what is the denomination of the note (one dollar, five dollars, etc.)? That would really help... Also if you could make a scan that would be interesting to see. -Amanda |

That's not a banknote!
That's a bond. :) I don't know much of anything about those I'm afraid. -Amanda |
