The above coin is in my Dansco album - a decent 1893-S. Here's the reverse:

The 1893-S in PCGS 55 came from another collector who's been hoarding them in AU 55- 58. I had to BEG him to sell me one. I bought one that he had cracked out of the PCGS 55 holder, and I resubmitted the insert with the coin to get it reholdered. Most of the others came from Ebay - different sellers - noone in particular. Quite a few of my better coins in my Primary set came from JJ Teaparty in Boston or Harry Laibstain in Virginia; some others from other collectors. My sets are on the PCGS & NGC Registries. Not all of them are listed, sorry to say as I don't have enough duplicates to warrant opening up another [ 3rd] set on PCGS's web site; although I do have a 3rd set on NGC's site. I'll post what ever images I have of the following year in sequence...1894 |

If you have any cheaper certified barber halfs that you are willing to sell, let me know.

Every year or so, I have a little housekeeping. Sold off quite a few last November to other Barber collectors, either by private treaty or consigned to a friend who listed them for me on Ebay [ that was before I thought I was competent to list them myself.] Continuing with 1894...this one's in my second tier set; my better one - a PCGS 58 has no image, sorry. ![]() |

This is the last image I have of an 1894 half. This 1894-S is the lowest certified one I have and is in my third tier set ... and although in a PCGS holder, its destined for the Dansco. ![]() |
