Hi, That looks like an 8 Soles coin from Bolivia. KM 97, 1832 PTS JL (The JL stands for Juan Palomo y Sierra and Luis de Aquilar, the Assayer's initials) I am not certain what the PTA stands for, possibly La Plata (Sucre.) Anyway... It weighs 27.0000g, it is Silver with content being 0.9030 Silver. Its reeded edge lettering says: AYACUCHO*SUCRE*1824* In V.G. condition it is worth about $20.00 American. Hope this helps.

PTA, probably stands for Pesetas, which I beleive is the denomination. Spain uses similar terms.
