I'm greedy. Send me the 16D. I really like that one. Is the sitting liberty reverse rotated or is it the way you photo'd it?
Nice photos. What kind of camera? What kind of lighting?

The 16-D has long since been sold. I try not to post pics of coins currently in inventory.

The seated dime was slightly rotated on the reverse.

We are constantly upgrading our photo efforts. Currently we use a Nikon D70 camera with 28mm to 90mm macro lense and a 100mm to 300mm macro lense.
We alternate between halogen, OTT, and clear view lights depending on the coin.
Good pictures are not easy. Capturing luster and color has to be the most difficult part of it. The halogen spot lights bring out the colors very nicely, but also bring out each and every flaw in the coin.

We start with large pictures. Our camera setting is 1504x1000 and we use a series of photo editing programs from there.

my favorites are the no stars 1837 dimes/half dimes, the wide open field is so amazing looking

That one ran through about 3 years back. If memory serves, it was in a PCGS 66 holder.

Photography that shows the toning is so very hard to achieve.  Thanks for the tips with the lighting.  As I am just getting started with the photography, I need all of the help I can get.  What is wrong with showing flaws in the coin if they are there?
