Hi Ginger
I,ve had a two coin dealers and several collectors say that its a inverted D. Yet another swears its die chips, and another says it was marked like this after it left the mint. I collect some die chips and it really don,t look like like a die chip to me. If this happened outside of the mint its strange that it surly appears to be a inverted D. Who knows, I just enjoy collecting coins and hunting for something different.
