Hi,

I have a 1953 $2 bill and the serial number and seal are red.  Does something like this have any value?  It seems to  be in very good condition.

Here is a picture

I had a friend check this out for you...

Unfortunately, the note is not a UNC note. It's the first note of a (8) note series.

53 - AA-BLOCK
53 - *A
53A - AA-BLOCK
53 - *A
53B - AA-BLOCK
53 - *A
53C - AA-BLOCK
53 - *A

The note in question in UNC or GEM-CU is worth around $15.00-$20.00 maybe $25.00 at the maximum. With the handling on the top edge and the chunk missing from the bottom left corner, the note would only grade Fine-Very Fine and is only worth arounf $3.00-5.00

Hope this helps my friend.

Silverhawk,

What is it worth in pristine condition, never been touched by human hands? By the way I sent you a PM.

Check EBAY, for this Note that would be your best net.

I buy & sell these in quantities in the shop...sometimes hundreds of them at once.  Average circ Fine or better with no writing tape tears etc usually bring $5.  UNCs are worth a buck or two more.  Low grade circs or problem notes I try to sell for whatever I can...$3 or maybe less depending on the level of damage/wear.
Hope this helps.
