I have a 1948 silver penny I know many say this doesn't exist but I have clearly seen the date and it is 1948 not 1943. I have gotten 3 people to confirm it. It is not zync plated because the magnet doesn't stick to it so maybe a 1 in a life time find or maybe a mistake?

Yeah I have several plated pennies, such as a 1978 one.

A lot of high school science classes coat pennies with zinc as a lab activity.
