1880 V Nickel ???

   I have a coin thats in rough shape but looks like its a 1880 V nickel.  since they dont exist i was hoping someone could help figure out what i have.

The obverse has stars.  reverse has V, wreath, and cents that is visible.  its clearly 1880 even though they werent made until 1883

These scans are the best i can get the coin to show up.

	Is it possible that what you think is an 0 in the date is actualy a 9..

	its definitely a 0. you can see from the scan. i looked under 14x loop. i cant explain it

	just took some pics with a camera from different angles and you can see its a 0

	yes you are right. at 1 angle it looks like a 0 but i did find the loop in the 9. oh well
